Industrial Training

Enginering has been my number 1 choice of career since my school age. It is indeed a very challenging job, a very demanding job until at certain time I would question myself if this is really the life which I wish to lead.

Thou my industrial training is tough and demanding in terms of time and effort, I realize that this is the career which will gives me satisfactory. I love the challeges being thrown to me. I love to outperform my own expectation as well as others.

I started my internship with only 2 main project but now I ended up with 6. Finished 4 of them. 1 waiting for documentation and the other one still in progress. I am facing a little difficulty here with the last one...still cracking my head to solve it...troubleshooting n troubleshooting!

Anyway, I have learned a lot through this path. I want to thank my supervisor for his high expectation towards me and thank him for his trust.

Learning through the hard way is always the better way of life. As chinese saying 'xien ku hou tien'. Let me struggle now rather than regret later!

Camper's License

31st May 2007!

This is the 2nd 31st May that is marked on my guiding career. The first was back in year 2000. I received my Queen's Guide Award from Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Siti Aishah. Today, again I am up on the stage to receive my Camper's License
 from Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah.

I have also witnessed the anxious participation of her majesty. 
She wore our guider uniform to the ceremony. I have not seen any
 of our patron wearing it. It gives me a warmth feeling as thou as
 we have known each other since long ago.

I hope that Her Majesty will continue to support our guiding movement!

I am very tired now after travelling long hours on the bus. 
Rushed down to Seremban on yesterday night and returned 
today. I have to go to bed now, have lots of work to do at office tomorrow. 

Let our guiding lights continue to burn!

Stressful Life in University

Since young I have been lead to think for my own future and of course university would be a definite path. But now that I am still on it, I didn't know what more to dream or to say about.

During my early education, I have been told to worked all my years just to secure a place in university but now I don't know if this is what I really wanted....or at least what most of us wants. Well...I have many stressful night to sleep with and in fact my friends worse. They didn't have time to sleep

I would not doubt the importance of knowledge. My doubt is towards our education system. Do students today....you and me...actually read for knowledge or just for the test. Is the scroll really the one thing to success?

Do you felt the same as well? Is exam that important? Does the result matter to you?

Have different thoughts? Then enlighten me!

My 4th outing in 2 years consecutively

My last december was really pre-occupied. First to kick start the festive month, I have had a 5 days camp in GGA headquaters. I have been preparing for this camp since months ago. After many sleepless night on the hard and cold tar floor, the camp was over but I was to complete my log book in a rush as I would be leaving for my holiday.

After the camp, I was really sick and so was my dad. He was admitted to the hospital. Then being sick myself, I was to take care of my dad's business. I was yawning all day and my head was really heavy and my running nose was really bad.

By the time I was all well, my dad was well too. We were both in time as I was scheduled to leave home for my holiday in Cambodia. So I have nothing to worry when I was on the trip. But before I left, we have arranged for a family outing. A night screen of Eragon in Gurney. Though the show wasnt that interesting but it was enjoyable to be able to have my parents to join us in our movie time.

On Dec 15th, we left for KL and we flied off to Phnom Pehn on 16th Dec. This was my 4th outing in 2 years in a row. First to India, then Singapore then to Thailand and this time to Cambodia...oh the we....we were Anne, Diana, Sze Ling, my sis, my bro and me. All 6 of us. There in ambodia, we have visited 3 major cities or province. We have been to the Phnom Pehn, Siem Rep and Kompong Thom.

On the first day, we arrived in Phnom Phen late as our flight with Air Asia was delayed for an hour. The first thought i have on Cambodia was that I am back in India, with the heavy and unruled traffic and the irritating noise of the horns. However it was something which at times I would love to experience it again. We was in Phnom Phen till the noon of the following day. We spend 3 nights in Siem Rep, 1 in Kompong Thom and 3 in Phnom Pehn again.

The most memorable sights I had in Cambodia, were Ta Phrom, Angkor Wat, Phnom Santuk and the NAtional Museum of Cambodia. The most memorable events I had there were, meeting up with Chenda, a local friend of mine, sun rise in Shah Shrang and Angkor Wat, hike up and sunset in Phnom Santuk, shopping in old market of Siem Rep, scary climb up the narrow steps of Angkor Wat.

The food there was good....real delicious! My favourite dish needless to say must be Amok, a green curry like dish. I had this almost everyday. Drinks....alcohol drinks were very cheap thanks to the goverment but the mineral water can be very expensive at times...may be more than alcohol at times.

The accommodation....very wide range in terms of price, cleaniness and comfortablity. The best price hotel or guest house we had put up in was Arunras Guest House in Kompong Thom for USD3 per night...with a private toilet, TV but no hot shower. The most comfortable one would be the Rosy Guest House in Siem Rep, a western run guest house...very friendly and comfortable....love the hammock on the porch. And the cleanness hotel would be Paragon Hotel in Phnom Phen. The hotel was situated by the riverside. The sunrise view here was marvelous but remember to request for room in the lower floors rather than like us climb 5 floors up and down...very tiring but the view was indeed better.
